Dr. Satish Shanbhag received his medical education at Bangalore Medical College, followed by an internship at Victoria Hospital, Bangalore, India. He completed his MPH in healthcare organization and policy, and his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Temple University Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Shanbhag is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine  at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In addition, he is an Active Staff Member at Orange Park Medical Center and St. Vincent’s Health System, as well as a Consulting Hematologist/Oncologist at Cancer Specialists of North Florida in Jacksonville.

Dr. Shanbhag is board certified in hematology and oncology. He holds memberships in the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is an ad hoc reviewer for Medicine, Science Translational Medicine, Blood, Hematologica , and Lancet Haematology. Dr. Shanbhag is a clinician, researcher, and educator practicing oncology, benign and malignant hematology with a focus on the lymphoid malignancies, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), lymphoma, myeloma, AL amyloidosis, as well as bone marrow transplant.
